It was a momentous evening for Irish Fest yesterday. First we were once again named Kansas City's "Favorite Ethnic/Heritage Festival or Event" in the annual Visitor's Choice Awards. Yay! Take that, KC Equador Fest!
Then, being in an awarding mood, we gave a few accolades of our own at the annual wrap up meeting:
2012 MVP-Male: Ron Einbender
2012 MVP-Female: Margaret Huff
2012 Rookie Of The Year-Male: Josh McRae, Mark Heath, Jeff Slattery (tie)
2012 Rookie Of The Year-Female: Kelly McRae
Special Recognition: International Aid Award: Carol Braun
Congratulations to all these hard working festies. They, like all of our staff and committee chairs work for nothing but the joy of putting on KC's best party so if you see them out and about, buy them a beer. I'll take one too.
