Not us. Them.

This very sad indeed. Chapman is the birth place of my mother and the resting place of my ancestors. We visited Chapman in August and the new school is beautiful. When you enter the town you are welcomed by big display saying Chapman the home of the Fighting Irish. This sign was built by the crew of ABC's Extreme Makeover when they built a home after the tornado. While the school was being built classes were held in the Catholic Church Hall (St. Patrick's). The cemetery is St. Patrick's and damaged in the storm as well. My cousin was the editor of the News Paper and every morning had breakfast at the Shamrock Cafe. Even the streets are Irish names. As you can tell this town has a strong Irish pride and was built by Irish pioneers. The proud Irish tradition lives on today. I'm sure the folks at Notre Dame no doubt saw the fine students of Chapman High School in their green, white and gold letter jackets cheering on Extreme Home Makeover. I too understand the ownership of a logo, but I ask is anyone really going to confuse the students of Chapman High with the Notre Dame Football team?

Bloggy, YOU should do a logo for them, one that kicks N.D.'s butt!
