Your Future Foretold

I know as sure as I'm sitting here in my corner office on the 37th floor of the Irish Fest Building that this will happen to you this weekend: you'll see a musician on stage and think "I wish I could do that. But instruments and lessons are so expensive." Or you'll watch a high kicking step dancer and think "I've always wanted to take Irish dance lessons. But who has the dough?" Or you'll sit in on the Irish language workshop and think "I wish I could afford to take more extensive instruction, but the stupid rent takes all my money every month."

And when that happens, I want this to be your next thought: "I think I'll let Irish Fest pay for it!" Because if you apply for an Irish Fest grant, we might do just that. We give money every year to people and not-for-profit organizations who want to pursue Irish arts, Irish culture, Irish whatever. We've sent people to learn Irish cooking. We've funded musicians and budding dancers. We've given money–up to $1500 for individuals, $3500 to 501c3s–to make all kinds of Irish dreams come true. Now it's your turn.

Get inspired Irish Fest weekend and then apply on our Grants page before the end of September. You'll find all the guidelines there as to what we will and won't* fund. We can give you money if you don't ask. So ask!

*My proposal to get funding for my research project "Blowing A $1500 Grant In An Irish Pub In One Night: Can It Be Done?" was turned down cold.
