Honor Thy

The very best day of the year is coming up soon, and I can't wait. Yes, Father's Day is just around the corner. My own father has many years ago gone to his reward, sadly, but I'm still in the game and I'm sure my 3 offspring are planning something huge. True, they've come up woefully short in the paternal adulation department the previous 18 Father's Days in which I was eligible, but this could be the year. Hope springs stupidly eternal.

I'll tell you what, if I didn't work here at Irish Fest, I know what I'd be hoping for this Dad's Day: a Kansas City Irish Fest Snug membership. If there's a better way to say "Pop, you rock" than that, well, I can't think of it. First of all, it's reasonably priced especially since coming from an Irish family you have at least 7 or 8 siblings to split the cost with. Second it has all the things Da loves: comfy seats, private toilets, room to stretch out, good music and cold beer. Throw in the other perks, like a limited edition t-shirt (new design for 2011), signed fest poster and catered food, well, you got the perfect Father's Day gift.

The only downside is that Snug memberships aren't on sale just yet. But do you think I'd leave you hanging? Simply click on and then print the IOU below, tuck it into a Hallmark card and come July 1st, buy that membership for the old man. Easy peasy. And please...be nice to Dad. He tries so hard.
