May May Be Nearly Gone But...

Today being May 31st and that being the final and last day of the merry month of May means that tomorrow, Wednesday is June 1st. Why do you care, other than in the fervent hope that the beginning of June might possibly bring a merciful end to all these damn spring rains? You care, Irish Fest fan because June 1st means the start of volunteer sign ups for the 2011 Kansas City Irish Fest!

Set your alarm and be the first to sign up. Early registration means you have your best shot at getting the job you want to do at the time you want to do it. And we have a job you'll want to do. A job you'll love to to do. You'll see them all listed with descriptions and any limitations tomorrow when you go to sign up.

Remember: we treat volunteers like royalty at Irish Fest. Wait, maybe being Irish that's not the analogy we should use. We treat volunteers like VIPS at Irish Fest. You'll get a free t-shirt. A free free fest ticket. Free refreshments during your shift. And we will give you big, grateful hugs all weekend. If you want them.

VOLUNTEER! Tomorrow!!!!

When do the stage schedules go up? I'm anxious to volunteer, but there are also some bands playing that I don't want to miss. (And, yeah, I know stage schedules at an early date are preliminary and subject to change, though they never change too much once they are up.)
