All of us at the KC Irish Fest send our thoughts and prayers to our neighbors in Joplin who after suffering that terrible tornado on Sunday are now bracing for more bad weather. If you'd like to help, our good friends at Kelly's Westport Inn invite you to drop off emergency supplies at the bar. They'll deliver them to the Red Cross for you. Bottle water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, underwear...anything that someone who's lost everything could use. Kelly's is at the corner of Westport and Penn.
If you can't get out to Kelly's, help for Joplin is just a text message away. The Heart of Missouri United Way has launched a Joplin Relief Fund, where 100 percent of all donations will be given to relief efforts in Joplin. Text "JOPLIN" to 864833 to make a $10 donation, or visit the organization's website for more information.
