It's Mardi Gras and while you're right, that's not an especially Irish holiday there is at least a Kansas City Irish Fest connection.
Tonight, get your beads on and head to KC's oldest and bestest Irish bar, Kelly's Westport Inn (owned and operated by Irish Fest co-founder Kyle Kelly and managed by his daughter, Irish Fest staff member Colleen Kelly). There to help you celebrate Fat Tuesday you'll find the Hoodoo Ramblers, a hard rocking trio anchored on the drums by none of than Irish Fest Technology Committee co-chair John "Rearview Johnny" Wenzel. John also happens to married to Irish Fest E.D. Keli O'Neill Wenzel.
