Band Announcement, 3/7

It's Monday (wink wink), and time for our daily 17 In 17 band announcement. Amazingly, in about 20 minutes it'll be Tuesday and we'll have another one! I think it's that whole daylight savings time thing but I'm not sure.

Today, Monday, we welcome back an old friend of Irish Fest's and of any Celtic music fan, the possessor of one of the loveliest and most distinctive voices in our genre and one of my personal favorite singers, the great Jim Malcolm.

The Boston Globe said what I wish I'd said about Jim: “Jim Malcolm’s voice has the complex individuality of an aged single-malt whisky” Jim first graced our stages with his band Old Blind Dogs, who he fronted for 8 years before striking out on his own.

I love Malcolm's music so much that I'm not going to waste another minute of your time writing about it. Let's listen and look forward to a warm evening in early September...

Wow! I was playing some of Jim's songs in my car on the way to work this morning, thinking how great it would be to see him again at KCIF and you delivered! Thanks, Uncle Bloggy! While you're on a roll, maybe you could do something about that raise I've been waiting for at work?

Hooray! Fair play! Jim is one of the most talented human beings walking around on this or any other planet. If you haven't seen him perform then get yourself to KCIF and correct that.
