35 Dog Blog Years

Here's a staggering thought...for me anyway: in just a few weeks, on March 7th, I will reach my 5 year anniversary blogging here for KCIF.

5 years, kids. 1825 days. More than 3200 posts, some 142 of which weren't total crap. Five years.

I'm fairly certain that the Irish Fest brass is planning a big party for me, but don't worry, I'll act surprised. Should they somehow fail to properly mark this momentous occasion (you may recall the crickets chirping on 3000th post day last summer) I'm open to ideas for a suitable milestone marker. A contest? A guest blogger? Retirement? Let me know if you got anything.

How about a band announcement! Every day at work I check out the blog during my lunch break. I work in state government and really could use the good news.

Thank you very much. The blog has become such an important part of the festival. To stop and calculate the number of hours spent by Danny are far more than any other volunteer ever.

We all owe you a tremendous debt of thanks (thanks not money... we have a budget).
Thank you for keep us all informed, entertained, educated and from time to time pissed off. Where else can we have a discussion on the realism of art with cows playing fiddles while standing up on hind legs.
Thank you Danny, we are looking forward to the next Gem.

How about your very own solo in the KC Irish Fest Staff Band? ;o)

You add so much personality to this festival. Happy early anniversary to the best blogger in KC.

Leave it to the "Old Retired Guy" (Little Ed) to add a jab to the compliments. Nice.

The Irish Fest (and specifically the blog) couldn't be without you.

Thank you. You're very kind. But what does NB-JDTW stand for?
