Ladies and gents, introducing our new cow artist for 2011, Pete Whitehead.

Pete has been a professional doodler for years, illustrating children’s books, magazines, and greeting cards and now, Celtic cattle.  He has also been serving beer at the Kansas City Irish Fest for many years, dating all the way back to the late great Brookside Irish Fests. If you bought a beverage at the St. Peter's Parish beer tent last year you may have dropped a tip into the papier mache cow-shaped tip "jar" that Pete created.  So Pete being practically a member of the family, it's a natural fit for him and us to have him illustrate this year’s KC Irish Fest cow.
