Man Charged in Attack on Pallets of Beer
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel-A man accused of taking a metal pipe to a truckload of beer being delivered to a neighborhood grocery store last week has been charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
Police say Michael E. Sinclair, 32, attacked the beer cans that were being delivered to the west side Milwaukee store.
Sinclair spent about half an hour swinging at pallets of beer with a 54-inch metal pipe in front of Mid-Town Foods at N. 27th and W. Wells streets, according to a criminal complaint. He yelled at the delivery driver that the beer was poisoning the neighborhood.
Once Sinclair finished, people swarmed the area, grabbing the undamaged cans. So many converged on the beer free-for-all that the crowd caused traffic backups at the intersection.
Police arrived and arrested Sinclair. Officers were able to review the incident on a police surveillance camera that was at the intersection.
We hope Joe, Barry, Ed and all our friends at the Milwaukee Irish Fest were mindful of the traffic while grabbing the loose cans.

While he thought the beer was "poisoning" the neighborhood, the police did find a pot pipe in his jacket.
BTW the brand was Milwaukee's Best..so no...Barry Joe & Ed let them have at it. Had it been a Guinness truck...
Isn't their slogan "Milwaukee's Best, The Oxymoronic Beer"?
