Centered

Big exciting stuff happening at the Irish Center in coming days. Dig:

The Boss, Bad Guys & Beer

Wednesday, November 3, 7 p.m.

Kansas City was known as "Tom's Town" during the 1920's and 1930's, when Boss Tom Pendergast ran the town. But during this era of prohibition, Kansas City was far from a dry town! What key role did the Irish play during this time? Find out from local experts Pat O'Neill, Terence O'Malley and former Irish Fest president Bob Sullivan at The Irish Center's upcoming program "The Boss, Bad Guys and Beer." Join us for a lively program featuring film clips, discussion, music and flappers at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 3 at The Irish Center. Appropriate refreshments provided by Boulevard Brewing and creative attire encouraged! No charge, but donations gladly accepted!
