The brewing contest has ended as we learned earlier today. The art, knitting, photography and baking contests are pending. I didn't enter any of 'em. Because all those contests require a couple things that I have in short supply: talent and skill. No, what people like me need is a contest that depends more on good old Irish luck.
Found it.
The original KCIF contest, the Irish Fest raffle is back for 2010 and we're ready to send you and a guest to Ireland. The only skill required to enter to the ability to hand over five bucks. One thin fiver (or get 5 tickets for $20) gives you the chance win tickets for two to Ireland, a Boulevard Brewing Company tasting room party for you and 30 of your friends, or weekend Snug memberships for the 2011 Kansas City Irish Fest. Tickets will be on sale all weekend long at the Fest, winners announced Sunday evening from the Miller Lite Stage. You don't need to be present to win, but you should be because we'll still be having fun and why would you not be there?
Enter early and often. And to you, Mr. or Ms. Second Prize winner? I like those tasting room parties. Just saying.
