News Item

From Special Irish Fest Music Appreciation Correspondent Cami Travis Groves:

IrishCentral.com: At a Chicago area Irish pub last weekend, a traditional music session came to an abrupt end when a pub goer who'd apparently had just about enough of the music (and possibly about enough of some other things, too) pulled a fire alarm at the bar, bringing the evening's entertainment to an abrupt end.

McNally's Irish Pub on Main St. in St. Charles was hosting Grammy-nominated fiddler Liz Carroll and guitarist Jim DeWan for a seisiún on Sunday night. Shona A. Lukes, 25, decided that she's rather listen to something other than the live Irish music being provided allegedly triggered the alarm which ended the session before running out of McNally's and down the road where she was apprehended by local police. She is charged with a Class 4 Felony for wasting fire response services.

Ironically, Shona's first name is the Irish word for "happy", which obviously, she wasn't.
