Over the weekend at the Paralympic Games in Vancouver, our girl Kelly Gallagher of Bangor, Co Down finished tantalizingly close to a medal in the Women's Slalom (Visually Impaired). Kelly came in at 6th place in a second heat of 13 athletes. Oddly, the bronze went to another Gallagher, Jessica of Australia. So score one for the diaspora!
Kelly I believe races in the GS tomorrow for another shot.
