Band Announcement

As promised, 2 big band announcements today, two first time KC Irish Festers. Off we go.

Last fall we sent Kansas City Irish Fest music master Dave "Shocko" Shaughnessy up to Nova Scotia for the annual Celtic Colours Festival to scout bands in that traditional music hotbed. When we met after his return he told me about one of his must-have finds, two flame-haired sisters from Mabou, Cape Breton, Dawn and Margie Beaton have been fiddling around since they were big enough to hold a bow. Dave raved about their musicianship, their stage presence, their dancing, their energy. Dave said they needed to play here. Here they are. We're very excited to welcome, for the first time at a major American Irish Festival, The Beaton Sisters.
