And In Staffing News...

Anyone who works in a volunteer-dependent industry as we do knows that attracting and keeping volunteers is a constant challenge. Free t-shirts, complimentary tickets and other incentives are effective to a point, but here at the Kansas City Irish Fest, we've decided that the most reliable source of dedicated volunteers is to just manufacture our own.

Please welcome the newest member of the Irish Fest family...and my own. My daughter, Kathleen O'Hara Regan. Kate was born today, March 29th at 8:30 AM, weighing in at a whopping 8 lbs, 6.5 oz and 20.5 inches long. I hope Irish Fest staff shirts are available in extra-teeny.

Mother and child are fine and healthy. Jury's still out on ol' Dad.

Congratulations to you both!... and I LOVE the picture. I've been studying it for a bit now and my best guess on what's behind that intense 'stare' would be something along the lines of "OK... I'm here now. Screw with me and you'll be sorry."

Congratulations! She's adorable!

It looks like she's trying to figure out how her Dad can be everyone's Uncle Bloggy, and whether having that many cousins is a good thing....
