Irish Fest Contest Queen Cami Travis Groves needs some help. You know Cami. She's the one that works so hard every year putting together those great competitions in baking, knitting, brewing and photography. This year the knitting and brewing categories have been narrowed down to their more specific disciplines–Aran sweaters and Irish Ale, respectively–but the other two, photography and baking...well Cami's stumped. I think it has something to do with Seasonal Affective Disorder because she's a pretty creative cookie usually.
So that's where you come in. What would you like to see this year's photography contest focus (HA!) on? What do you think our bakers should cook up? Click on that comments button and let us know. Cami would be eternally grateful.

Baking...Have y'all done tiger bread? I'm not sure if it's Irish in origin, but it seems to be awfully popular over there.
Photos...It might seem a little odd, but I'm always quite taken by photos of cemeteries. I have a number of pictures of them with Celtic crosses as grave markers; mine are all American sites.
I'll think some more about it, but these two leapt to mind.
You should do an "Irish Faces" photo contest. Freckles optional.
Great ideas, Martha, both much appreciated! Keep them coming!

How about a competition for the best Boulevard Irish Stout Stew?
Dan & Cami,
Baking: Cakes incorporating Irish whiskey in the recipe. (I know, what a waste!...but there's a lady down in Mississippi who offers slices for sale at the Jackson festival and she sells out before noon on Saturday!)
Photos: The session. Everyone who goes has pretty good pictures, and what is more quintessentially Irish? That being said, my husband has already taken the winning photo, a slightly blurred through-the-window-of-the-pub shot of Paddy Keenan and friends in Monroe, Louisiana. Ya shoulda been there!
Do I win something? :)
Anonymous, and again Martha, GREAT ideas!!! Thank you!!
Anyone else think they can top that?
Cami
Baking - how about The Best Bread or Bread and Butter pudding? If you choose this, can I please be a judge? ;)
