You probably thought to yourself "with a whole gansey load of band announcements already this week, I guess on Friday when band announcements usually happen there won't be one." I bet you thought that. Please. You know me better than that. Of course I have a band announcement for you. And it's a gooood one.
Eileen Ivers and Immigrant Soul.
She's been called the Jimi Hendrix of the violin and the future of the Celtic fiddle. She's a dervish, a force of nature and takes Irish music on journeys nobody else has even imagined. She's a performer without peer and quite possibly the nicest woman I've ever met that I'm not married or related to And she and her incredible band will be back after a too long hiatus to rock the KC Irish Fest in 203 short days. I'm a happy little blogger. And remember, you can get a preview next month at the Kansas City Irish Center's annual gala. Tickets for that event are here. Now, let's start the weekend with some Ivers, shall we?

Now THAT's a great Friday band announcement!!!
Way cool!
What a great early Valentine's Day gift. This year's lineup is shaping up to be the best ever! No wonder you had to add another stage. Can't wait for Labor Day Weekend.
Jackie in Iowa
That's GREAT news! She's the best.
