Don't forget. Okay? Just don't. Get your tickets today to one of the Kansas City Irish community's best annual events, the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee/Ancient Order of Hibernians seasonal kick off concert featuring Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones. The show is Friday, February 19th in the Redemptorist School gymnasium at Linwood and Broadway. It's the best way there is to shake off the winter and start feeling spring and the Irish holiday season. Representatives of many of KC's Irish organizations will be on hand to sign you up too.
True story: It was at this very event, on that very February 19th date as a matter of fact, that I first met the future Mrs. Bloggy. Now am I saying that if you, single person, pay your $15 (which includes all your drinks and snacks!) and go to the show that you'll meet a gorgeous member of the opposite sex, fall madly in love and marry him or her a few years later? Yes, I am. That's exactly what I'm saying.
So go buy that ticket. They're available at Browne's Irish Market, Sheehan's Irish Imports, Doherty & Sullivan's in Lee's Summit and Eddie Delahunt's Cafe &. You can also get them at the door but why wait? Love–and a damn good time–awaits.
