West Side Story

This week a few million dollars in improvements to rail service between St. Louis and Kansas City were announced. And in today's Kansas City Star there was a lengthy article about how Cowtown brewer and Irish Fest partner Boulevard has seen St. Louis area sales increase dramatically since Anheuser Busch was sold to a foreign beverage conglomerate. So to our East Side Missouri neighbors, we say: welcome. There's never been a better time for you to plan your trip across the Show Me State for Irish Fest weekend.

Take the Amtrak across (I rode it last month and it's a lovely trip) and you'll find your self deposited at our gorgeous Union Station. Which, guess what, is strolling distance to both our anchor hotels, the Westin and Hyatt. It's also across the street from the Irish Fest grounds. Once here you'll find plenty of delicious, cold, locally brewed Boulevard beer, beer you can feel good about drinking. And best of all, you'll still be in your home state so there won't be any language barriers. We speak fluent Missourian.

So come on over, St. Louis. We'll keep the hotels discounted and the beer cold.
