I'm sure that you, like me, have watched the unfolding events in Haiti with horror and sadness and an overwhelming desire to help, somehow. Allow me to present a way.
Wednesday night, January 20th at Record Bar (formerly Molloy Bros. Irish Pub, may it rest in peace) please plan on attending a Haitian relief benefit concert starring Irish Fest's favorite rock stars The Elders. Appearing with our lads are 2003 Irish Fest performer Danny Cox, Walkenhorst & Porter and Sara Swenson. The show is sponsored by Record Bar and The Pilgrim Chapel in old Hyde Park. Tickets are $10 at the door (additional donations would I'm sure be welcome) and all proceeds and a portion of the bar will go directly to the American Red Cross for help in Haiti.
Please put this great night of music on your calendar.

Gregory Greene, leader and accordion player of KCIF alum The Pordigals, has a twin brother who was on a missionary trip to Haiti when the earthquake hit. There has been no word from him yet. I think we all need to keep Gregory, his brother, and his family in out thoughts too.
