The entire city is dingy grey now, with the snow that's left piled up and dirty. It's just cold enough to be irritating and there hasn't been sunshine in what's seems like weeks. I think I'm hitting the winter wall early this year.
Do you have that? The winter wall? Maybe I should copyright that phrase. It's that place you get to where you've just had enough of no sun, no leaves, no green, no warm. Anyway I'm there, but in the words of Christy Moore, "tough shit, Paddy." So with the warm nights of Irish Fest still 227 days away and weeks of bleak left to go before spring, what's a fella to do? Maybe reliving a great KC Irish Fest performance from an earlier late summer night will help. Sure it couldn't hurt.
Here's Hothouse Flowers from 2009, followed by some Pogey. I think I'm feeling better already.

I've hit that winter wall too, and I think this is just what I needed.
Ah, I feel a little better now.
