R.I.P. Liam Clancy


Legendary Irish singer Liam Clancy has passed away at age 74. Our condolences to the Clancy family. This is a huge loss for all fans of Irish music.

For the encore at the Swell Season show Monday night Glen Hansard did the most beautiful tribute to Liam, then sang "The Parting Glass". It has just become much more poignant.

I believe I'll have to listen to the Clancy's version straight away.
