More Music on Friday

Tomorrow night is a big one around here, Irish music wise. Those saintly Bob Reeder fans at the Harp And Shamrock club, they who raise all that money to help the hearing impaired kids at Children's Mercy Hospital, are throwing their annual Celtic Music Benefit at the Ararat Shrine Temple, 51st St. at I-435.

A who's who of local and regional Irish music is on the roster, including Ellis Island, Flannigan's Right Hook, The Ararat Pipe & Drum Band, Rob Gavin and of course himself, Bob Reeder. Tickets are $15 at the door, ages 12 and under free and seniors over 65 pay just $10. There'll be live and silent auctions, shopping, raffles, food and drink. And of course the proceeds go to the CMH Hearing Aid Fund, which is of course The Harp and Shamrock Club's raison d'ĂȘtre for bein', as the Scots say.
