Three days to go, 3 more things on my Ten Things Not To Miss At Irish Fest This Year. Today: Wandering.

You might think this one would go without saying. But some folks who come to Irish Fest find their spot, stake our their area and set up camp. They stay put, barring the occasional potty or beer run. They don't know what they're missing. This weekend rove, ramble, mosey, meander. There's so much to see. Catch an impromptu session in the thatched roof cottage. Visit with representatives of all KC's great Irish organizations. Do some shopping. Watch the kids in the fountains. Channel your inner Lynott at the Guitar Hero tent. Visit with a 19th century Irish born baseball player, in uniform. Be sure to ask him for a baseball card. Explore your genealogy. Best of all, people watch. It's one of my favorite entertainment activities at Irish Fest. Read t-shirts. Count kilts. Find freckles. Research redheads.
