The best month of the year - barring whichever happens to have Irish Fest in it, of course- begins tomorrow. Beautiful autumn weather, changing leaves, post-season baseball...in other cities, but still. And Halloween. Again this year, celebrate that most Irish of holidays with Mr. Kansas City Irish himself Deadie Delahaunt at the 6th annual Pooka Party. Saturday, October 24th at Harling's Upstairs Bar, 3941 Main Street, right where Westport Road meets its eastern terminus. The party will feature the usual costume contest (which I won last year, thank you very much), music and craic.
Mark the calendar now and start working on that costume, you scary thing, you.

I don't think I have one Martha, but I'll see what I can do.
Regan takes the prize for scaring people with his looks again. It was quite the costume and did deserve first prize. I think 2nd prize went to Sarah Palin and 3rd went to the pumpkin pie trio. I remember Barney snapping the pics but I think they were all of the Junos.
