Up Here

Good morning from Milwaukee. We kicked off Irish Fest here last night with a VIP reception followed by another reception hosted by visiting delegates from Northern Ireland. Lots of old friends and some new ones here for the long weekend. The Thursday night kick off here opens just a fraction of the 16 stages that will be active tonight. Last night's music featured Slide and Pogey, both headed to Kansas City in three weeks and a very entertaining set by a band called The Red Hot Chili Pipers from Scotland. Tonight, your suggestions Salsa Celtica, Andreas Transo, Screaming Orphans, Cara, Captain Mackey's Goatskin & String Band and as much other music as we can squeeze into the 7 hours we'll be on the grounds. And tomorrow of course, the battle of the sexes as Laren and I toe the starting line of the 5K run. Don't forget to place your bets and win a full day Snug membership.

Hi Danny,
Have a great time in my hometown! Hopefully you received my sister's cell #, as she is bartending tonight :) Please be careful in the race tomorrow as the distant vision of Laren (ahead) becomes a blurry mirage. Check with Shannon for E.R. locations - just in case ;)
Love, Erin
