Reprieve

The "Take Me Out To The Irish Fest" video contest deadline which passed you by on Sunday last has been extended.

Why? Because we care. Because we know that you're busy. Because we know that daily life is full of errands, obligations and commitments and your free time is valuable. Because creating a video work of art takes time and you don't want to submit an entry that doesn't meet your own high standards. And because we got exactly one, yes one entry. And it was submitted late.

People, seriously. It's easy to enter. You can win an incredibly great prize package if your video is voted best, 4 weekend passes to The Snug PLUS 4 tickets to one of the comedy stage performances on Saturday night. That's worth over a thousand bucks. And just by entering a qualifying* video you get 2 tickets to Irish Fest and 2 tickets to the comedy show. So come on. You have plenty of time now. Entries are due by August 16th at midnight. Then it's one, two, three strikes you're out.

All the important details and our sample video are here. Get filming.

*What does "qualifying" mean? Follow the directions. Be original. Be funny. Keep it around a minute or less. Interpret the "Take Me out to The Irish Fest" theme, as in-think baseball. Get it in on time. Keep it clean. Keep it Irish. Don't use somebody else's copyrighted material.
