Band Announcement

Friday is band announcement day, so here we go. Appearing at this year's Kansas City Irish Fest...you!

This year, you get the chance to unleash your inner Celtic rocker at Irish Fest's new Irish Guitar Hero tent. Grab your axe and test your skill on classic Irish rock songs. Compete against the game or your friends. Prizes will be awarded for the weekend champions in each song, as if bragging rights weren't enough.

If you're old and uncool like me and not familiar with this game, here's how it works. You face a television monitor with a plastic replica electric guitar in your hands. Your chosen song begins with a series of multicolored buttons representing notes and chords coming toward you on screen. You push the corresponding colored buttons on your guitar's neck while "strumming" a switch on the body. Hit the most correct notes at the highest level of difficulty and you win. Easy, right? Um, no. But a lot of fun.
