Band Announcement

Friday means two things here at Irish Fest HQ. One, festival president Ed Follis loads the office fridge up with cold Boulevard beer and two, band announcements. While I wait on number one, let's take care of number two.

Today we've got one for the rock fans. Making a first time appearance at this year's Kansas City Irish Fest all the way from Donegal via N'awlins Looziana is Danny Burns and the Defectors. In case that's a new name to you, here what some people who know him have to say:

Maybe it's just me but when Damien Dempsey calls you a great songwriter, that's saying something. Just 26 years old, Danny has been on the road playing music since he was 17.
