Only 100 days till we open the gates. I have no idea what animal gestation period equals 100 days, but I'm sure it's fascinating. Danny will know. Hope he gets back soon to tell us.
But back here at Irish Fest HQ, the pace starts to pick up. The Board meets more often, and the committee's start meeting outside of the monthly gathering. The kids club gathers to strategize, apparel gets ordered, and the site crew starts drawing out plans for how the perimeters will be staged. The PR wheels get more grease and the graphics are drawn up with crayons on a Big Chief tablet. Heritage displays are printed and shined, while band contracts are finalized and signed. Food and craft vendor selections are finalized and the finance crew polishes all the tokens. Applications for Snug membership are reviewed and the flood of questions submitted through the website get answered. Sponsors are wooed (would you like to introduce a band?) and we pay more attention to the number of rooms booked at the Hyatt and Westin. And of course we all get nervous about how many volunteers we have signed up.
Yes it's an exciting time to be in the Irish Fest business. Like planning a wedding and sending out 95,000 invitations.
Good thing we don't need seating charts.

HOW CAN YOU BE REVIEWING SNUG MEMBERSHIPS WHEN YOU CANT SIGN UP YET?
Let me clarify - these are all things we do in the NEXT 100 days. Sorry for the confusion.
That's the point, Anonymous. Check the title of that posting while you're at it.

thankyou
Snow Leopard.
You're welcome.
Danny
MAYBE ANONYMOUS #2 NEEDS TO READ THE ARTICLE. IT SAYS THEY ARE REVIEWING SNUG APPLICATIONS. BARNEY CLARIFIED, IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE WRONG TEXT. THEY ARE REVIEWING WHAT WILL BE GOING TO BE HAPPENING IN THE SNUG. ANONYMOUS #2 WONT EVEN SHOW UP.
ANONYMOUS #2, ARE YOU CHOKING ON A BOULEVARD IN THE KIDS AREA?
