Your Thought For The Day.

Kansas City Irish Fest public safety co-chief The Honorable Patrick Quinn shared this with me and I think I need to pass it along.
"Dan, I ran across this today "among my souvenirs." The statement was made at McGurk's in St. Louis about 1:30am in 1987 or 88 by the famous Irish fiddle player Kevin Burke (as my world was slowly slipping out of focus). Miraculously I made it back to my hotel, after a stop at White Castle for a half dozen of their finest. Now you know why my mind is what it is.

"Traditional Irish music releases the mind from the tyranny of conscious thought!"

Who but an Irishman would come up with a statement like that? Although, the longer you think about it and sip a pint at the same time, the more sense it starts to make. By the sixth pint your realize it is absolutely brilliant and is far more intelligent than anything Plato or Shakespeare ever thought to say. Try it."
I think I will.
