Browne's Needs You

Our good friends at Browne's Irish Market and Deli are planning their annual Irish Street Fair and if you'd like to help with this great new-ish event, you're welcome. A planning meeting for volunteers is set for tomorrow, April 21, 6:00 PM at the store at 33rd and Pennsylvania. What's needed? Says Kerry Browne: "Anything from planning, working a shift, passing out flyers/e-mails to your friends—everything is a big help!" The street fair is planned for June 6th and will feature the talents of The Elders, Eddie Delahunt, DogTree, Kelly, bagpipers, Irish dancers, as well as a children's area, Irish food and drink and Gaelic football. With your help, the fair has raised some $50,000.00 the past few years for the education of children with special needs through the FIRE program.

If you'd like to help but can't make tomorrow's meeting another seesion is scheduled for Tuesday May 5th, same time and place. Or just stop by Browne's and discuss it with Kerry or John over a sandwich.
