Erin, Go Rest

I opened my morning paper today and found another story about Tuesday's upcoming St. Patrick's Day parade, this one specifically about the event's move up town to my old neighborhood, Westport. And as usual there were quotes contained therein from 2009 parade boss Erin Kiekbusch.

Erin, in charge of the parade this year, is the very same Erin who is a member of the Kansas City Irish Fest board of directors and we are so proud of her. Personally, I'm a little in awe, too. Putting on Irish Fest is incredibly hard work, pretty much year 'round. Then throw in to that the task of staging one of the country's biggest St. Pat's Day parades? No, thank you. But Erin makes it look easy. When you see her at the parade, be sure to congratulate her on her multi tasking and ask her the question that's on all our minds: are you nuts?
