Must Music

Have you gone downtown to Raglan Road and heard their house band Creel yet? Messrs McCarthy and Scanlon joined me in that spectacularly beautiful establishment yesterday evening for libations and appetizers, and I'm telling you those boys (Creel, not Scanlon and McCarthy) can flat out play. Colin is effortless on that ancient blackened fiddle of his, a world class player right here in our backyard. Damien is not only equally brilliant on guitar and vocals, but is downright unstumpable on requests. Throw in Danielle dancing on the table, and you've got a night of fantastic Irishosity.

If you're a fan of traditional music and I'm going to make a wild leap of logic here and assume you are if you're reading this, go see these guys.

And order the scallops. Killer.

So I tell the Missus I'm up at St. Elizabeth's for a Rosary and Confession and you rat me out on the blog tellin' her I'm at Raglan drinkin', eatin' & singin'. Thank's old Pal! But it was sure worth it. The food, music and the water of life was OUTSTANDING! The music was so good I thought Christy Moore was in the house.

Buying something nice for the wife Scanlon

Sorry, Eddie! I'm sure Mrs. McCarthy will be getting an extra nice Valentine as well.
