2009 Grant Recipients

Since the early days of Irish Fest, it has long been our goal to give back to the community that has been so wonderful in their support of the festival. Last year marked a milestone for the festival as a process was put in place for both 501C3’s and individuals to apply on-line for cultural grants from the Kansas City Irish Fest.

The process for this year’s grant recipients began in July with the opening of the KCIF grant tab on our website. The members of the Grant Advisory Board carefully reviewed all grant requests, using our mission statement as a guide for deciding who would receive a grant. This year the Kansas City Irish Fest will be giving out $25,000 in cultural grants to a variety of 501C3’s and individuals.

Over the last two years, our festival has now awarded over $100,000 in cultural grants. To those who applied and did not receive a grant, please try again. Thank you to the Grant Advisory Board for a job well done. Listed below are all of the 501C3’s awarded grants for 2009.

Congratulations to all of those receiving a grant.

It is a wonderful thing to put on a festival for the fun and enjoyment of all. Then to top it off be able to help the community is almost beyond words. It makes me very proud.
