Lot's of things happen over holiday weekends. We eat too much. We drink too much. We end up blacking out for 3 days and waking up in a Waffle House parking lot in Cheyenne, Wyoming wearing nothing but a pilgrim hat and a big Santa belt. And when those things happen, we sometimes miss well deserved birthday wishes.
Irish Fest Site Foreman John Hayes celebrated on November 26th. What's a site foreman, you ask? All that stuff you see at Irish Fest that isn't there when it's just plain old Crown Center? John Hayes built it, picked it up and put it there. And then did it again in reverse when we closed. And if it broke over the course of the weekend, John fixed it. He's the first one there and the last to leave.
John's arrival at Irish Fest is the stuff of legend. The year of the rain out he just walked up, asked if he could help and hasn't stopped working since. We were never sure where he came from, but we're sure glad he showed up.
Happy birthday, John! Hope it was great. I owe you a beer.

I don't know how Danny knew how i spent my birthday except it was an IHOP instead of a Waffle House. But thank you all for your kind words and wishes and I will be collecting on those beers not all at once (even though ive been known to try)
