What I'm Thankful For, 2008

  • Another successful Kansas City Irish Fest.
  • Being a small part of a great KCIF team.
  • Boulevard's Bob's 47 beer.
  • All the great entertainers who graced us with their presence at the festival this year.
  • The good people who continue to employ me in spite of my obvious shortcomings.
  • Irish Fest's wonderful sponsors, and the new one's who overcome by this show of gratitude will be joining us next year.
  • The 90 something thousand people who came through the gates this year.
  • My friends at other Irish festivals across the country who teach and share so much.
  • Candy corn dipped in peanut butter. Don't judge. Try it.
  • Boulevard Dry Stout.
  • The gods of weather who blessed Labor Day weekend yet again. I knew that goat sacrifice would work.
  • Boulevard Pale Ale.
  • The Irish Fest board and staff, who top to bottom, rock.
  • Celtic Thunder. Man, I LOVE that show!
  • Our incredible Irish Fest volunteers.
  • Sunshine.
  • Puppies.
  • Sunshiney puppies.
  • Elections.
  • The vendors who kept the Irish Fest marketplace humming all Labor Day weekend.
  • Crown Center, our home.
  • State Street, our presenting sponsor.
  • You, Tir na Blog reader.
And you? What are you thankful for?
