Spillane Release Tomorrow

News of a new record release from one of my favorite Kansas City Irish Fest performers ever, just in time for holiday shopping (hint, hint).
John Spillane's "Irish Songs We Learned At School" rediscovers the songs we learned as children growing up! With guests such as Seán O Sé and Peadar Ó Riada and the First Year Music Class Gaelcholáiste Choilm, Baile an Chollaigh, Co. Chorcaí and their teacher Catherine Frost, this compilation is a trip down memory lane to old favourites like Báidín Fhelimí, Trasna na dTonnta and Beidh Aonach Amárach!

Says John:

"It was a great pleasure to record and re-discover these beautiful songs. The recording of An Poc Ar Buile was especially lovely, as Seán Ó Sé was so kind as to sing it with me, and we had Peadar Ó Riada on piano, whose father Seán played on the original recording from the 60s, also Mel Mercier on bodhrán and bones, whose father Peadar Mercier played on the original! Go Raibh Míle Maith agaibh!"

Entertaining and educational-you'll remember more songs then you think!

John Spillane's "Irish Songs We Learned At School" will be TV and Radio advertised from release, is included on all POS material for Christmas, and John will be appearing on the Ray D'Arcy and Ryan Tubridy Radio Shows.

Deliveries have been received by all partners so please ensure the album is live on music stores and handsets for Friday 14th for release date.

Talk to you soon,
John Spillane
