Dan---oxalis isn't the traditonal plant that grows in Ireland. THAT plant is in the Trifolium (clover) family, and is very hard to grow outside of Ireland. Oxalis is pretty easy, and also reproduces fairly quickly. It's commonly available for sale for less than $5 at florists, nurseries, and gift shops. Buy a small pot of it, because it will need dividing in about 6 months or so. Plant the pot you get for St. Patrick's Day in a partly shady spot in the yard after the last frost, and by Labor Day you'll have a yardful of nothing else!

Martha, Martha, Martha,

Don't you know this is being put on by the IMCC (Irish Museum and Country Club)?
All shamrocks look the same to these folks, so don't go getting all "accurate" on them. Don't you know they are in the "close enough" business?

Sincerely,
