Your Turn

While we're all digesting the weekend's activities/funnel cakes, we here at Irish Fest HQ want your feedback, good or bad. We'll do our best to answer any questions, address any issues and I promise we pay attention to all suggestions as to how improve the festival. You can post comments here or e-mail Jeff at info@kcirishfest.com. Let us know what you think. Believe it not, Irish Fest 2009 is already being planned.

Please ensure that Jimmy Crowley is at Irish fest every year. He is incredible.

The expansion to the north was an awesome idea! I thoroughly enjoyed the Barra MacNeils and Enter The Haggis. Damien Dempsey was a very pleasant surprise and I must agree that Jimmy Crowly was great! Millish never ceases to just blow me away and, as a musician, they make my head hurt in a good way. The ideas they are conveying through their instruments are some of the most complex I have heard in Irish music.

Thanks for a great weekend!

Had a great time as usual. Size is getting bigger. Perhaps you could take over park area and place vendors there or perhaps tables for shade. Keep up the good work. See you next year.

We had a great time, as usual. I particularly enjoyed listening to Barry Fitzgerald.
Thank you for all the hard work you all do for the fans all weekend. Kansas City is lucky to have you and your commitment to the Irish Fest.

Please use more of the park, great for families to use blankets in the shade. Extends the parents ability to hang longer. That was one fun weekend.

Pogey was the "FIND" of the Fest. Definitely bring them back.

I liked the expansion, though during the day the Blvd Stage has issues of "do I sit in the sun or smell the sewer under that sidewalk?"

Definitely nice to have more space to move around...not so crowded walking around while shopping etc.

And of course, it goes without saying, when the Elders play their "home fest" there is magic in the air.

Love the fest, I've been to everyone even dancing in the rain down by the river. Amazing to see how it has grown!!

My only suggestion would be to see if you can create a small box style stage, maybe like a pub, for some of the great bands like Jimmy Crowly, Kelihans, Bob, Eddie, etc. The big open stages you have, and even inside crown center are just too big for these guys. It cant do these guys justice like a smaller more intimate area could.

More space - this is supposed to be a family event and my children were trampled through out the day and expecially at night. Real Irish beer - this is an Irish Fest and you can't buy Guiness! I understand needing sponser but what is the point of an Irish Fest without real Irish beer?
