Take It Easy

Listen, I know it's Friday and all and you're ready for a big crazy weekend. But I want to see some restraint out there. Because you've got a big week coming up.

One of the real stand out bands at Irish Fest this year, Slide returns to Cowtown and a half-way to St. Pat's show at Raglan Road downtown on Tuesday night. Wednesday at Raglan is the amazing house band Creel along with the lovely Danielle Fitzpatrick who will change the way you think about Irish dance. And Thursday, our hometown heroes The Elders will rattle the Victorian walls of Raglan Road. For that Thursday show, buy a VIP package for $35 and get prime seating, a T-shirt, a CD and the envy of others. Contact my friend Aileen at the pub for details on how to make that happen. And ask her if it's true that those amazing Raglan Road fish and chips are to be had at a discount during that three day half-way celebration.

Good price for a CD & T-shirt, I guess, but the show is still free, isn't it?

I believe so.

The Elders are playing way too much in KC, and for free. I think I'll pass.

("The Elders playing way too much in KC"... I know some who would heartily disagree!!!)

This show has no cover... the VIP package is optional. That means the show is free, right?

Right you are. And $35 for a t-shirt and a CD alone ain't a bad deal. Add a guaranteed seat in what's sure to be a crowded bar, and it's a bargain.
