Slid

A plethora of Irish Festers enjoyed two amazing sets by Slide at Raglan Road last night, kicking off three days worth of halfway to St. Patrick's Day fun. Tonight, things get tougher with more choices. Good luck.

The red hot Kansas City Royals host their second Irish night out at the ballpark tonight. A couple different packages are available, both including a beshamrocked green and white Royals cap. Irish Fest band Flannigan's Right Hook performs before the match too. I attended last year's halfway party at the K and had a ball. Get the details here.

Back down at Raglan Road, their great house band Creel takes to the stage and the lovely Danielle Fitzpatrick takes to the table tops as their three day party continues. Try their new Raglan Road Irish Stout (I think I left some down there) and those incredible scallops. Just a thought...with Slide, Téada and Beoga all in town for the Arts Midwest conference, what are the chances of an all star session breaking out at Raglan tonight? Hmmm...

Eddie Delahunt will serve up gourmet coffee and food all day at his Cafe & and great Irish music tonight at O'Dowd's on the Country Club Plaza. His show starts at 8:00 and will be, as usual, great. Who better to celebrate with than Kansas City's Celtic King?

So there are your choices. Flip a coin? Draw straws? Whichever way you go, you can't lose.

Danny or Shocko,
Loved Slide last night.
But...The original singer, is he gone for good? Davey is as cute as a red wagon-ful of puppies and just as talented, but I may have had a hankerin' for some Struttin' to Spanish Point.
