We LOVED Pogey!
Ahhh they were so incredibly FANTASTIC!!! Probably the biggest surprise of the fest for me this year!
It's no surprise the view from the Bands perspective is so great - KC Irish Fest is great from every angle. And when the bands are enjoying it that much, we get to watch an even better performance out of them. Kudos to all the organizers, sponsors and volunteers for a job well done. See you next year for certain!
And you ask how is it that Kansas City Irish Fest draws 3 times the crowd as Oktoberfest. This is the answer in a nutshell. Maybe after I retire from the board I can sit in the sponsor area and watch a fantastic band like Pogey.
My vote is to have them back for 2009

Pogey was the highlight of the weekend. The Snug girls loved the Pogey boys. What a great bunch of guys and what a fun show!
THAT'S what I'm talking about when I talk about how great KCIF is!!!
THEY WERE FANTASTIC, I MET THEM IN THE SNUG, I LISTENED TO THEM FROM THE SNUG, I HAVE CD'S. MAYBE, POGEY AT 09 KCIRISHFEST.
