13 Hours

You've got 13 hours left to get your Kansas City Irish Fest writing contest entry in. Your theme should be My Irish History and entries can't be any longer than 400 words. But they can certainly be shorter if you don't know that many words. Poetry counts as writing, I'm pretty sure, even short poems. How 'bout a haiku?

Perhaps a limerick? Even the name sounds Irish!

My history now I'll attest.

The 'taters went bad

So great-great-grand dad

Hopped on to a boat headed west.

Of course, essays, short stories, epic poems, sonnets...they're all fair game. The only thing that won't work is turning it in tomorrow, because then it's too late.
