Browne's Updates

Speaking of Browne's Irish Street Fair (as I was in the earlier post which is below this one) they've expanded the entertainment and the details for Saturday.

Entertainment now includes:

• John Feehan (Bagpiping throughout the day)
• The Lucky Charms
• Katherine Viviano
• Dog Tree
• Eddie Delahunt
• The Elders

In addition to the Best Legs in A Kilt and Reddest Hair contests, a new one has been added. Best Baked Item Made With Bailey's (drop your entry off at Browne's today or tomorrow or before 11am on Saturday. Include your name & contact number)

Raffle prizes have been announced. Tickets are $10 or 6 for $50:

• Ireland Package-a week stay in lovely Weaver's Lodge in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, Ireland
• Kansas City Package-including gift certificates from some of the areas best restaurants and attractions
• Browne’s Gift Package-Gift Certificate and some of their most popular Irish Gift items
• Beleek Fine Porcelain from Ireland

Remember that parking is free in the VFW lot to the east of Browne's (34th & Broadway) or on the surrounding streets, and to bring your lawn chairs. Also keep in mind as you head that way that 31st st. is closed between Main & Broadway.

And most importantly, remember to come see me and all your friends from the Kansas City Irish Fest who'll be there signing up volunteers and telling you all about the new Snug.
