Sunday, of course, is the best day of the year, by which I mean Father's Day. Being a long-time father myself, I look forward to a full day of relaxing, reflecting and basking in outpourings of adoration, admiration and respect from my two sons. I've been looking forward to that scene every Father's day since the first of those two knuckleheads was born. I'm still waiting. I think this old picture was the last time they'd allow us to even be photographed together.
But I truly love being a Papa (and I am a Papa, not a Dad or a Pop or a Daddy or a Pa), in spite of my defective offspring. Since I'll be taking Sunday off, I want to take this opportunity to wish all the hard working, dedicated, devoted Dads, Papas, Pops, and Fathers in the Irish Fest community a relaxing and restful Father's Day. If your kids are anything like mine, you've earned it.
Joseph, Tommy - bring Papa a beer, will ya? Boys? Anybody there? Hello? Never mind, I'll get it myself.

Happy Father's Day to all the Irish Fest Dad's!
Whether this your first father's day or one of many, you all are great men and I am very proud to be assosiated with you all.

I had to look up the title of this post on www.englishirishdictionary.com -- which is ever-so-useful for meanings, but alas, not for pronunciations. I'll have to appeal to the Grant Board again to pay for me to learn Irish.
