Tweak #1

Remember the phrase "subject to change" that came attached to the recently posted schedule for the 2008 Kansas City Irish Fest?

Take out your copy of the schedule, your scissors and your paste. Now take your Saturday page. Carefully (I don't want any cut fingers) cut out Damien Dempsey and Scythian. Now swap their spots and paste them down. Very good. Your schedule should now look like this:

Friday August 29
Crown Center Terrace Stage
Boulevard Stage
Saturday Aug 30
Crown Center Terrace Stage
Boulevard Stage
Atrium Stage
Sunday Aug 31
Crown Center Terrace Stage
Boulevard Stage
Atrium Stage
This change, by the way is due to some exciting news. Damien Dempsey will now be bringing his entire band. We'd originally only planned on a three piece version, but are now bringing five over. A bigger sound to back one of the biggest voices you'll ever hear.

Now, we'll live with that for awhile and see how it feels. This new is line-up of course is - you guessed it - subject to change.

Couldn't find a 3rd Haggis Band?

Unfortunatley 'Swallow Me Haggis' were not available.

Every year we hang a couple dozen Irish Fest posters in the green room for the bands to sign. The last time Enter The Haggis was here, they wrote "Enter The Haggis" with an arrow pointing to our cow's mouth and "Exit The Haggis" with an arrow pointing to her arse.

Those guys, in addition to having a good sense of humor put on an amazing show, by the way.

Dan...I'm afraid y'all might be flirting with the same situation that arose last year on the Terrace stage---any chance of moving Damien Demsey and Gaelic Storm down to the Boulevard stage so there's more room for the crowd?

I saw Flannigan's Right Hook last night at 75th street brewery, what a fun band.
