I met last night with Ron and Margaret, our shopkeepers at the Kansas City Irish Fest. They showed me the samples of this year's new merchandise...your t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps and whatnot. These are not the printed samples of course, because our lazy-ass designer still has to come up with the new art work. But I can tell you this: you'll be looking good. T-shirts, in short and long sleeves, men's and women's styles, lots of colors. Including green. Women's tanks. Hoodies in two colors. New cap colors. And some surprises.
So even though my Pants-Free Friday concept has been scrapped (stupid short-sighted board), if I were you I'd still come to Irish Fest dressed in clothes you don't want any more. Head straight for one of our merchandise tents, buy you some new duds, change in the port-a-potties. Toss those old rags and step out onto the brightly lit runway of fashion's front lines. We'll know you by the trail of paparazzi.
Of course, there's one t-shirt you can't buy...
